These are the voices of fathers -

men who stood in the delivery room, hands full of emotion, eyes on the person they love most, hearts nervous, but steady, embracing the magnitude of the journey they are on. They didn’t have to fumble for their phone. They didn’t have to choose between holding a hand or capturing a photo.

Birth moves fast. And your place in it is too important to miss because you were stuck behind a screen. Your partner needs you with her—not on a phone trying to preserve the memory for her. And your child deserves to know how present you were, how deeply you loved from the very first breath.

When you choose to be fully present—and hire someone like me to preserve it—the birthing person still gets their story, so does your child. A tangible memory of strength, love, and the way it all began.

John's Perspective - “Having someone photograph our first child’s birth was something I not only wanted but think everyone should really consider! The concept might seem strange, but I have a photo of my son opening his eyes for the very first time! I have photos of the most intimate experience I have ever had with another human being. Hannah was amazing, professional and will be hiring her for all of our future children’s births!”

Logan's Perspective - “I knew Hanna through her husband. I was glad to have her there as a supportive person for Sydney and to have the pictures to look back on the birth of my daughter. She is very professional and the pictures looked amazing! I understand that some men would want it to just be them and their significant other in the room but it was very important for my girlfriend and she made the right choice choosing Hanna. Thank you for your hard work, 'preciate you!”

Craig's Perspective (My Husband) - “When Hanna and I started having children, I would have thought it was somewhat strange and out of the norm to have a photographer for the births of our children. This thought process drastically changed when I realized that my wife had very little recollection of the events and very important and special details that I personally had locked away in my brain of our first daughter’s birth. Hanna does not have a photographic memory at all so photos are one of the most important things to her in remembering the important things in life. When we had our second baby, Hanna’s heart mom and I took as many pictures as we could for the beautiful memory of this special day. That being said our focus still needed to be on Hanna and her needs and so taking pictures became a hindrance to the support Hanna needed. When we had our twins there was zero time for me to take pictures. Due to the position of the babies, we were forced to have a C section. Having a separate photographer to capture those moments for Hanna and our family meant that I could be by her side every moment. That I could hold my babies without feeling the need to capture those precious moments myself. Lastly, this process is one of the most challenging and painful things a woman goes through to bring life into this world. To me that deserves all the pictures you can get. I am forever grateful for the images that were provided to us by Madalyn Smith Photography during this process.”
